“The Chesapeake Crescent region is teeming with a diversity of industry sectors and talent almost unmatched in the U.S. Combining a dynamic community of active and sideline angels together with a stable foundation of startup resources, we have the makings of a deal flow powerhouse,” says Michael Binko, angel investor and Founder/CEO of Startup Maryland.

Workshop sessions are designed to give attendees an insider look at the world of startup investing, as well as, activity in their own region. Sessions feature guest-speakers who share how to approach investing as part of a portfolio; navigating deals; managing involvement with the portfolio startups, a breakdown on various investing platforms and opportunities, perspectives from the legal side of investing and more.  Workshop attendees are also given the chance to meet other angel investors and curated startup ventures, expanding their network while introducing qualified deal flow.
